7 The accelerated critical illness benefit (ACI benefit) is optional and is available under Life & health and everything in a single option. this benefit is payable on the first occurrence of any of the 34 covered illnesses. medical documents confirming the diagnosis of critical illness must be submitted. the benefit is payable only upon meeting the definition of diagnosed critical illness. The ACI benefit is accelerated and is not an additional benefit, meaning the policy will continue with the death benefit reduced by the amount of the ACI benefit paid. future premiums payable under the policy will be reduced proportionately. If the ACI benefit paid is equal to the death benefit, the policy will terminate with payment of the ACI benefit. to know more in detail about the aci benefit and the terms & conditions that govern it, consult the sales brochure. the term of the aci benefit would be equal to the term of the policy or 30 years or (75 years at the time of entry), whichever is less.
8 accidental death benefit (adb) is up to ₹2 crore (subject to underwriting guidelines). adb is available in life plus option and all in one. in the event of accidental death, the accidental death benefit will be paid in addition to the death benefit. the accidental death benefit will be equal to the term of the policy or (80 years at the time of entry), whichever is less.
