      While the $0 cost share applies to all of Humana’s Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial plans, there are some technical differences in how claims are processed:

      • human medicare advantage members: original medicare was responsible for coverage of covid-19 vaccines during 2020 and 2021, including charges for the vaccine and its administration. As of January 1, 2022, the cost of the vaccine doses will be covered by the federal government. Humana will cover any costs of vaccine providers to administer the vaccine, and there will be no cost sharing for members.
      • Commercial and Humane Medicaid Members: The federal government will pay for the cost of the vaccine doses. Humana will cover any cost to vaccine providers to administer the vaccine, and there will be no cost sharing for members.
      • What if I was charged for my vaccine and need reimbursement? doses of vaccines purchased from us. taxpayer dollars will be given to the American people at no cost. however, some vaccine providers may charge an administrative fee for giving someone the vaccine(s).
